This gives details of resources available with your NHS Athens password as well as many that are available without a password from any computer.

Information skills training

We can offer training for groups or individuals. Please contact us to book a place on a course or arrange individual training. SaTH staff can now book a place through the Booking Zone on the SaTH Intranet.

 We can come to your department or workplace to provide training to groups or individuals. 

Training sessions will normally take place in the Libraries' IT Suites, and we will provide you with a certificate of attendance. For individual training requests, we will try to provide training as soon as possible (often there and then if time permits), but booking in advance is preferable.

We also offer a whole days training called Pathways to Knowledge that covers; Health Care Databases, The Cochrane Library, How to get the most out of Google and other places to find Health Information on the Internet.

Telford and Shrewsbury Health Libraries provide a whole days training on how to find the very best quality information, quickly, easily and efficiently.

Knowledge and Skills Framework

Each of our modules have been matched to the relevant KSF dimensions, and our training meets a number of KSF requirements either directly, or by application of the skills learnt.
