We offer services to obtain journals articles and books that we don't hold in stock
Request a Journal Article
Before you use this service, please check to see whether the article is available in one of our libraries or electronically. There may be a charge for this service, please check the library charges page before making a request.
To request an article, please print the form below and sign the copyright declaration before returning it to one of our libraries.
Alternatively, you can use our online Article Request Form on the SASHA Library site, selecting the appropriate library from the dropdown list. If you use the online request form, you'll still need to print a copy to sign and return to us as a signed copyright declaration is required.
Request a book
Books available in one of our libraries can be reserved online on the Shrophire Health Libraries Catalogue even if they are available on the shelf. You'll need your library barcode and catalogue password (contact your library if you're not sure what this is). Alternatively, contact your local library to reserve a book. You can also use the Shropshire Health Libraries Catalogue to see details of items you have out on loan and to renew your loans.
For books not held locally, contact your local library and we will see if we can order a copy of the book from elsewhere for you.
There may be a charge for this service, please check the library charges page before making a request.
Request a Literature Search
We can carry out searches on your behalf to identify journal articles, guidelines, systematic reviews and other material to help meet your requirements. This service might be useful if you are searching a complex topic, struggling to find material (or narrow down the amount you find) or if you simply want to make sure you are getting the best results.
If your search is for your course, for example for an assignment, we will ask you to do the search yourself but we are happy to offer training on how to search and assist you with.
You can request a search online, or contact your library directly if you prefer. Whichever method you choose, the more information you can give us the better.
