Current Consultations

a) Looking Ahead to NHS Foundation Trust Status

We aim to be an NHS Foundation Trust by 2014.  Part of becoming an NHS Foundation Trust will include setting out our strategy for the future and our governance arrangements (including how local people will be involved right at the heart of their local health service as elected Public Governors).  We welcome your views on our strategy and governance arrangements to help shape our application to be an NHS Foundation Trust.

b) Annual Report

Every NHS Trust is required to produce an Annual Report in line with guidance from the Department of Health set out in the NHS Finance Manual.  For the last three years we have produced our Annual Report as a detailed overview of our progress and challenges udring the year, accompanied by a shorter, public-facing Annual Review.  Copies are available from the Annual Report section of our website.
We welcome your views on the design, content and format of our Annual Report.

c) Quality Account

Every year, we are required to publish a Quality Account.  We welcome your comments and suggestions on:
 - the format and content of the Quality Account
 - how we can achieve our Quality Priorities for the year
 - what our Quality Priorities should be in future years.

a) NHS Foundation Trust Status

Our public consultation on NHS Foundation Trust status ended 18 months ago.  We asked for comments on anything new and different that should be taken into account in our governance arrangements and our strategy as we continue to move forward to NHS Foundation Trust status.  This will help us to ensure that becoming an NHSFT supports us to improve the quality of services for patients and working lives for staff.

b) NHS Foundation Trust

Our consultation on becoming an NHS Foundation Trust ended in January 2008.

Timescale: Consultation started on 15 October 2007 and ended on 13 January 2008.

c) Organisational Values

As part of the formal consultation on NHS Foundation Trust status (see above) we also asked for your views on the values that should underpin all strategy and decision-making in this organisation as we move forward.

d) NHS Constitution

The Department of Health recently consulted on a new NHS Constitution for England, followed by a second consultation on patient rights

e) "Keeping It In The County" 

Consultation took place from December 2010 on the future shape of hospital services in Shrewsbury and Telford. Consultation ended on 14 March 2011.

f) Liberating the NHS

The  Department of Health welcomed views on the framework of policies and legislation for the NHS.
