Keeping Up To Date
Knowledge Centres (formerly Team Knowledge Update)
The Knowledge Centres are our own service to help you keep up to date with new healthcare knowledge.
Each centre offers topic pages containing the latest articles from relevant journals, and news from sources such as professional bodies. Many of the pages provide email subscription services.
The centres are created using Netvibes, and if you have your own free Netvibes account, you can create your own pages using feeds from our pages or by adding feeds from other sources.
Zetoc
NHS staff, along with Stafforshire and Keele University students can access the British Library’s Zetoc Alert service.
Zetoc Alert is a current awareness service that sends email alerts matching search criteria that you apply. The Alerts may include a search for journal titles or searches for authors and/or keywords from the titles of articles and papers.
Zetoc provides access to the British Library's Electronic Table of Contents of around 20,000 current journals and around 16,000 conference proceedings published per year. The database covers 1993 to date, and is updated on a daily basis.
