Research & Development Committee
This committee meets monthly to provide strategic vision in the implementation of the National Research Governance Framework and to support the implementation of the Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) objectives to:
Increase the number of patients participating in clinical trials
Improve the speed, quality and integration of research
Provide equity of access to high quality research
Clinical Trials Department
Incorporated within Research & Development is the Clinical Trials Department. This comprises dedicated research nurses, allied health professionals, research assistants and clerical support staff. Their role is to support clinical studies adopted onto the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) portfolio and other appropriate commercial research.
