Childrens Services
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust provides Children services which consists of a Paediatric Department (wards) and the Childrens Cancer Unit.
Paediatric Department
The Paediatric Department is split across the two hospital sites and consists of two inpatient wards, one at RSH and one at PRH, consisting of 23 and 24 beds/cots respectively with associated assessment bays and children's outpatient departments attached to both wards. Inpatient facilities cater for children and their families in a friendly and caring fashion up to the age of 16 years. On the RSH site there is also a dedicated 3 bedded Children's Cancer Unit adjacent to the ward.

Childrens Cancer Unit
The Lingen Davies Rainbow Children's Cancer Unit is a purpose-built unit at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital based off the children's ward. It provides a protective environment for children to receive their chemotherapy and care, whilst maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere.
