Medical Engineering Services - Overview
The Medical Engineering Services Department is located within The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The department has many years of experience in the maintenance and repair of all types of medical devices. Great emphasis is placed on ensuring that devices are commissioned, maintained or repaired and are safe to use. The departments services include fully contracted and individual jobs to Hospital Trusts, allied Health Care establishments and patients.
It is our stated policy to provide the highest standards and a quality service. It is a matter of pride to us to provide services that are excellent by UK and international standards with performance commitments that will be met and continually improved in line with customer requirements.
In 2004, the Agency adjusted its Quality Management System by implementing the requirements of ISO13485:2003 (requirements specifically for Medical Devices).
Our Quality Management System has been organised to support and satisfy the requirements of ISO9001:2000 and ISO13485:2003.
