The NHS Careers service regularly hold events that involve a large combination of jobs and departments. Schools and colleges across Shropshire will be invited to attend, but please check back here for the latest upcoming events.
Careers in Pathology
Clinical placements
We offer a small number of clinical placements each year. These are usually offered to under-graduate students who are part-way through their BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree. The student opts to take a sandwich year, or the placement may form part of an integrated applied degree where the degree and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) become coterminous. We do consider other students for clinical placement. Further information can be obtained from our Pathology Training Co-ordinator:

Work Experience
Work experience is not offered within the laboratory because of the nature of the work. In some circumstance a shadowing experience may be offered.
