Becoming an NHS Foundation Trust gives us new freedoms to drive forward improvements in quality for our patients and improvements in working lives for our staff.
When we become an NHS Foundation Trust we will have five elected Staff Governors on our Council of Governors. This will include:
- 1 Nurse or Midwife
- 1 Doctor or Dentist
- 1 other registered health professional (this category includes therapists, healthcare scientists and other registered health professionals who are not in the categories above)
- 1 healthcare support staff (e.g. health care assistants and other non-registered support staff)
- 1 administrative, clerical, estates, facilities and managerial (this category includes all staff who are not included in the four other categories)
