Investment in the Princess Royal Hospital site

2025 will bring exciting opportunities for the Trust, including ongoing investment in Princess Royal Hospital and at Hollinswood House in Telford. These improvements will support us to deliver modern and high-quality care for our patients and will also contribute to our sustainability goals.

Growing cancer services

A £5million fundraising appeal has been launched to double the capacity of chemotherapy provision in the region – and bring a dedicated cancer treatment centre to Telford. The ‘Sunflower Appeal’ has been launched by Lingen Davies Cancer Support, the region’s primary cancer charity, and the funds will be used to develop the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre at Princess Royal Hospital.

Planned Care Hub

We have now opened our £24 million planned care hub, which will provide more theatres and recovery areas as part of plans to transform patient care at PRH. The new hub will provide day case surgery for patients across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and mid Wales, supporting communities to receive high quality, elective care all year round. This significant investment will substantially increase the number of day case operations that can take place meaning patients will also benefit from much shorter waiting times.
