A free one-day course designed for young people to find out more about their local hospitals and explore career opportunities available.
The Young People’s Academy is a free one-day course. It has been developed for young people aged 14 – 25 who are considering a career in the NHS, or who simply want to find out more about their local hospitals.
The day includes presentations, videos, and interactive Dementia Friends Awareness and British Sign Language sessions. You will find out about how the NHS works, the huge choice of careers available in the NHS and how you could join us as a volunteer.
Everyone completing the course will receive a certificate of attendance and a pin badge, as well as evidence for their CV or university application.
