5 August 2025
Please be aware that from Friday 8 August, we are expecting some large deliveries to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) as part of construction and installation of two new wards.
The first delivery will take place at 6.30pm on Friday 8 August, with subsequent deliveries until Saturday 16 August. Deliveries will take place between two time frames each day, 10am-3.30pm and 6.30pm-8pm to help keep disruption to a minimum. During this time there will be several traffic marshals along the route to ensure the safe drop-off of the modules and timely exit of delivery vehicles.
Please be aware that traffic following the RSH one-way system will be stopped during delivery times to ensure the modules are safely delivered. We expect each delivery to take no more than 10-minutes from entering to exiting the hospital site.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience. We recognise there is a large amount of construction work taking place at RSH currently and your support throughout this is valued. Long-term we know that these vital works will improve care for all our communities.
Please continue to plan your journeys accordingly and allow for extra time if you are arriving or exiting the site during the delivery windows. You can also consider using the Park & Ride service, which runs every 15/20 minutes from the car park at Oxon Park & Ride to the Treatment Centre.
