29 September 2021

A training exercise will be carried out at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on Wednesday 29 September as part of a multi-agency exercise. The exercise forms part of the Trust’s emergency preparedness activities and will see our staff responding to a simulated scenario in readiness for if they should ever be required to respond to a real major incident.

During the event, staff will wear chemical protection suits and a decontamination tent will be erected outside of the Emergency Department. For its duration, signs and public information will explain that a staff training simulation is taking place and there will be no disruption to the services and facilities at the hospital whilst it is carried out.
