The previous bike racks were old and unable to be used unusable, so SaTH Charity applied to the Small Things Big Difference Fund to purchase and install the ‘toaster’ style racks. Within minutes of them being installed someone was already using them.

Nicola Brockley, Public Participation Development Manager, said: “I used to cycle to work when we were based at Stretton House and when the charity moved location, I realised the bike racks weren’t secure and I wasn’t happy to leave my bike on-site.

“Parking at William Farr House is a challenge so anything we can do to support staff to use alternative methods of transport is a good thing. It’s really helpful to have access to the Small Things Fund so we can order items such as these”.
