Please read the information below to help you find the area you need to park in for your appointment at William Farr House. Please do not park outside people’s homes or driveways near the hospital.
Once inside our hospital, please follow the internal signage, look out for site maps to help you, and if you are unsure of where to go please ask a member of staff or a volunteer who will be happy to help. There are dedicated spaces available for patients attending appointments located nearby the departments. There is also disabled car parking, with most being located around the back of the site by the therapy services reception.

Phlebotomy / Bloods Department
When you enter the site directly in front of you are the allocated spaces for patients attending the bloods department. These are short stay spaces only.
Therapy Services
When you enter the site please follow the car park around to find the dedicated spaces for patients attending the therapy services department.
We kindly ask that you park only in the designated spaces available in our parking areas. There are plenty of spaces allocated for your convenience, and using only these spaces helps ensure that everyone has access to the parking they need.

William Farr House and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital is conveniently located near the A5-B4386 junction on the west of Shrewsbury. From this roundabout follow signs to Shrewsbury and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. William Farr House is located about 1.2 miles ahead on your right.

Walking and Cycling
If you live nearby and are fit and well, we encourage you to walk or cycle to our hospitals. William Farr House is approximately about two miles from the town centre or Shrewsbury railway station. There are excellent cycle routes that lead to William Farr House using quieter or residential roads nearby.
The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital is conveniently located near the A5-B4386 junction on the west of Shrewsbury. From this roundabout follow signs to Shrewsbury and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The hospital is located 0.8 miles ahead on your left via a small roundabout.

11 Arriva Service – The Shrewsbury Town bus service (No. 11 Arriva Service from Shrewsbury Bus Station) . This service runs every 15 minutes.

3. Oxon Priory Stop:

If you are traveling by train –
Shrewsbury Train Station is situated in the centre of Shrewsbury.
It is approximately three minutes walk (200 metres) to Shrewsbury Bus Station (see above). It is approximately 15 minutes drive (two miles) to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Taxis are available from outside the station.
Trains from all over the country, including Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Powys, stop at Shrewsbury Train Station:
Cambrian Line to Welshpool, Newtown, Caersws and stations to Aberystwyth & Pwllheli
Chester/Wrexham/Shrewsbury line to Gobowen, Chirk and stations to Chester & Holyhead
