With construction well underway of a four-storey expansion, The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is inviting patients, members of the public and staff to help shape the look and feel of this important new space, as well as the naming conventions and themes for locations within the new building.

The multi-million pound investment, as part of the Hospitals Transformation Programme (HTP), will provide a new four-storey expansion of healthcare facilities at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH).

Set to open in 2028, it will provide the space needed to ensure all the right doctors and nurses who support the emergency care teams are on the same site as the remodelled Emergency Department at RSH.

A range of interior colour palettes have been created, informed by patients and the public. The colours are inspired by local landscapes, nature, and artwork and designed to support a calm and welcoming environment.

By voting for a preferred palette and theme, the public will play a direct role in creating a welcoming hospital that reflects the needs and preferences of the people who use it.

Votes can be cast through the following survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2507CT01

The survey will close on Friday 15 August at midnight. Full terms and conditions can be found here: https://www.sath.nhs.uk/about-us/hospitals-transformation-programme/survey-tcs
