The pathology lab at Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford has experienced a flood and our teams are working hard to assess the damage and restore services. The source has now been identified and contained.
Most work is being processed at PRH with the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital pathology laboratory supporting. There may be a slight delay in results being available as we prioritise the most urgent clinical cases. Emergency Surgery is not impacted.
All other services at the Princess Royal Hospital, including the Emergency Department remain open. However, we ask people to use NHS 111 online or 999, in emergencies or life threatening situations, to help be directed to the right service for your needs.
Patients should continue to attend their appointments unless contacted by the hospital.
