SaTH has appointed an interim Deputy Chief Executive.

Bev Tabernacle will join the Trust for seven months starting on 1 June until 31 December 2019.

Bev will be on secondment from her role as Director of Nursing and Deputy Chief Executive at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Bev was also previously Acting Director of Nursing at Bolton Foundation Trust.

She will take over the reins from current Deputy Chief Executive and Finance Director, Neil Nisbet, who is on secondment to NHSI.

Simon Wright, Chief Executive of SaTH, said: “We are delighted that Bev will be joining the Trust on a seven-month secondment, and we look forward to welcoming her in June.

“She brings with her a wealth of experience that will be of enormous benefit to the Trust on our journey of improvement.”

Bev said: “I am very much looking forward to working with staff and patients to make sure that we are raising awareness of all the good things that are happening in the Trust as well as looking to address the challenges that it is facing too.

“I have been involved in a lot of improvement work during my NHS career, and I also bring with me the insight and experience of helping to take RJAH from a ‘requires improvement’ CQC rating to ‘good’ over the last three years.”
