A small-scale training exercise will be taking place at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford today.
An emergency scenario will be played out for staff with support from Shropshire Fire and Rescue, West Midlands Ambulance Service, West Mercia Police and a wide range of other multi agency partners.
The exercise will take place around the A&E department and, for the duration of the event, signs and members of staff will present to explain that the exercise is for staff training.
Our services and care for patients will be unaffected by the exercise, which forms part of our Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response arrangements, whereby we plan for, and respond to, a wide range of incidents and emergencies.
