The finalists in The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) annual awards – which celebrate the fantastic achievements of staff and volunteers – have been revealed.

A record number of nearly 800 submissions were received for dedicated teams and individuals who have gone above and beyond, nominating them for a Values in Practice (VIP) Award 2019.

The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Telford International Centre, which is being held on 13 September.

Finalists received their invitations to the ceremony this week; and they include teams and individuals who have been nominated by patients, as well as by colleagues from within the Trust.

Paula Clark, Chief Executive of SaTH, said: “The Values in Practice Awards ceremony is an important date on the calendar at SaTH. Every day across our Trust we see and hear of acts from our teams, and from individuals, which demonstrate how they live our Values, often going above and beyond the call of duty.

“These awards are just a small way of saying thank you. We must also say congratulations to all of the other nominees who, while they may not have made the shortlist, have certainly made a positive impact throughout the year. Thank you, too, to everyone who took the time to nominate.”

The evening event will be preceded in the afternoon by SaTH’s annual Long Service Awards, for individuals marking 25 or 40 years’ service with the NHS.
