In light of new national guidance and the rise in COVID-19 cases, we’ve had to make a few changes to our visiting arrangements.

At the start of the pandemic, we made the very difficult decision to suspend visiting at our hospitals to protect our patients and keep people safe from COVID-19. This unfortunately must remain the case for now.

We continue to support our patients and their loved ones as best as we can, with ongoing compassionate visiting allowed in end of life care, children’s wards, and for those with specific needs. This approach will continue overall.

We also have separate arrangements for Neonatal and within our Maternity department, and these remain in place with two birthing partners still permitted.

The two main changes we’re introducing are:

  • Proof of a negative LFT result before visiting our hospitals
  • Only ONE visitor aged 16+ allowed on compassionate grounds or due to special circumstances (except in maternity which remains unchanged)

Everything else you need to know about visiting can be found here.

We know these are difficult times for many of us, but your ongoing support and cooperation helps to keep our hospitals and patients safe. Thank you.
