Ron Haseman, a patient treated at the Haematology Unit, sadly passed away in February 2023 after a two-year battle with Myelodysplasia and Acute Myeloid Leukemia. On Sunday 4 June the first annual SaTH Charity staff football tournament took place at Shrewsbury Sports Village, netting an incredible £1,000. Funds from SaTH Charity are supporting a falls prevention trial within the Trust. Almost £1500 has been invested in the trial so far. Falls are the most common adverse event in acute hospitals, with over 400 individual factors contributing to cause a patient to fall.
