Careers in Pathology

Clinical placements

We offer a small number of clinical placements each year. These are usually offered to under-graduate students who are part-way through their BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree. The student opts to take a sandwich year, or the placement may form part of an integrated applied degree where the degree and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) become coterminous. Work Experience

We consider very few requests for work experience because of the nature of our work and the need for suitable immunisation. Consequently, work experience is generally restricted to shadowing.
