The Physiotherapy teams provide a range of inpatient and outpatient services across Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital.

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession dedicated to the restoration of movement, impairment or disability. Physiotherapists promote mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention.

We apply a holistic and reasoned approach to help people of all ages and abilities to achieve their health goals, for example to return to independent living, the work environment or sport.

We work with individuals, or within a team, to promote physical independence. By enhancing function within musculoskeletal, neurological and cardio-respiratory problems we encourage individuals to assume responsibility for their health and well-being.

• Limb-fitting clinic
• Neurology outpatients (MS, Parkinson’s, Stroke)
• Musculoskeletal conditions
• Orthopaedic pre-assessment clinics
• Pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory outpatients
• Rheumatology
• Vestibular rehabilitation
