Dietetics

Dietitians are specialist practitioners qualified to translate information about food and nutrition into practical dietary advice to promote health and treat disease.  Dietitians support and advise clinicians in developing diagnoses of nutritional problems.

They provide individualised dietetic intervention using their expertise in food interactions, enteral feeding, food fortifications and behavioral modification and counselling skills.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists work within multidisciplinary teams to provide a range of inpatient and outpatient services across Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital.

Occupational therapy provides practical support to enable people to facilitate recovery and overcome any barriers that prevent them from doing the activities (occupations) that matter to them. This helps to increase people’s independence and satisfaction in all aspects of life.

Physiotherapy

The Physiotherapy teams provide a range of inpatient and outpatient services across Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital.

Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession dedicated to the restoration of movement, impairment or disability. Physiotherapists promote mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential through examination, evaluation, diagnosis and physical intervention.
