The team supports and values new members of staff, striving to develop and maximise each individual’s skills and knowledge. Newly qualified Registered Nurses will be supported through the Trust preceptorship programme to support you in adapting to your new role and your transition from a student nurse into a competent Registered Nurse.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales.

PRH Front Entrance
The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) opened in 1989. It generally serves Telford & Wrekin and eastern Shropshire as well as being the Trust’s main centre for inpatient head and neck services and hyper‐acute and acute stroke services.
The hospital provides A&E, inpatient, outpatient and day case facilities. Services include general and acute medicine, inpatient head & neck, cardiology, breast surgery, critical care, trauma & orthopaedic services, paediatric services, emergency treatment and renal dialysis.
In 2014 we began an exciting partnership with the Virginia Mason Institute in Seattle as part of our journey of improvement with our aspiration being to provide the safest and kindest care in the NHS.
