Funds from SaTH Charity are supporting a falls prevention trial within the Trust. Almost £1500 has been invested in the trial so far. Falls are the most common adverse event in acute hospitals, with over 400 individual factors contributing to cause a patient to fall. NHS Charities Together asked the NHS Charities of Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin to identify local charities who could support patients in the community. Congratulations to Ian Roth for completing the Ride London cycling event on 29 May. Ian, a SaTH employee who works in medical illustration, completed the London-Essex 100-mile event in under six hours and raised over £600 for SaTH Charity’s Ophthalmology campaign. A bench has installed in memory of Trevor Jasper, a former colleague. After Trevor Jasper passed away in 2021, his family donated money to SaTH Charity to purchase a wooden bench in his memory.
