Chaplaincy / befriending volunteers from a diverse range of faiths, beliefs and backgrounds are welcome to provide company to patients who would like to receive visits. The role is to work with the Chaplaincy Team, visiting patients identified as

Training is given to all volunteers and the Chaplaincy Team are available for support if needed. Volunteers are not permitted to promote their own beliefs, philosophy, or distribute literature, the roles are to provide comfort, company and support.

Chaplaincy Student Placements

The Chaplaincy Team seek to support future Chaplains from all faiths and beliefs, and welcome students who are completing chaplaincy training to join the Team for a placement.

Honorary Chaplains

The Trust welcomes establishing links with recognised local faith and belief leaders who are able to work with the Trust in Honorary Chaplaincy roles to provide diverse pastoral support to patients, visitors, volunteers and staff from a diverse range of faiths and beliefs.  Honorary Chaplains are recruited to the Trust as volunteers as they do not receive payment for their work, however, all recruitment, oversight, endorsement, training and appraisal processes take place to support them within the role.
