It is essential when the Trust is looking at service changes or developments that we work with our staff, local communities and statutory bodies to ensure that we engage with our communities in a timely and meaningful way.

We aim to engage with our public and patients at the early stages when we are considering, changing or developing our services. As such the decision to change the service will not have been made. With service changes, there are many factors that need to be considered prior to it going ahead. Please note that some proposed service changes highlighted on this webpage will not have been implemented. All service changes will be updated with it status update.
Fetal Medicine Service – Temporary Service Change (August 2023)
** THIS SERVICE CHANGE HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED **
This is a proposed temporary service change to our Fetal Medicine Service. Through a combination of recent retirements and unavailability, from the end of July 2023, we will not be able to provide this service until we are able to recruit to fill these posts.

Outpatient Echocardiography Service – Temporary Service Change (December 2022)
** THIS SERVICE CHANGE HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED **
This is a proposed temporary service change to our outpatient Echocardiography Service at RSH and PRH. This will enable us to catch up on appointments by March/April 2023 and reduce the current 11 week wait for this diagnostic test to 6 weeks (which is the national target).
Renal Dialysis Service (January 2022)
** THIS SERVICE CHANGE HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED*
This is a proposed service change to renal dialysis services which are currently being provided at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford to move to an off-site location at Stafford Park, Telford. No decision has yet been made regarding this potential service change, and we want to hear the views of our patients and the public. Click here to find out more.
Breast Screening Mobile Unit (Market Drayton & Bridgnorth – Temporary Service Change (June 2022)

This is a proposed temporary service change to the County Breast Screen mobile service to Market Drayton and Bridgnorth to help us catch up screening appointments following the pandemic.
Audiology and ENT, Royal Shrewsbury Hospital – Temporary Service Change (May 2022)
** THIS SERVICE CHANGE HAS NOW BEEN COMPLETED**
This is a temporary service change (approximately 12-18 weeks) to outpatient Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Audiology Services at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.Improvement works are taking place at the outpatient Clinics at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital commencing 18th April 2022 for between 12-18 weeks, meaning services are temporarily affected.
