Our Maternity Service is now using BadgerNet Maternity Notes. This is an electronic system aimed at giving mothers more access to and control of their pregnancy records and care notes.

Badgernet Maternity Notes

Updated 29/12/21: Please be aware that some iOS users are currently experiencing difficulties accessing the BadgerNotes app and may see a message stating “offline storage could not be found or started”. Engineers are working to permanently fix this issue, however if users uninstall and reinstall the app this will also grant access to the app. Users can still access records via the web version of Badgernotes at badgernotes.net . We apologise for any inconvenience.

If you are experiencing any issues with your BadgerNotes account, a help and frequently asked questions page can be found here.

What is BadgerNet Maternity Notes?

BadgerNet’s Maternity Notes is an online portal and app that allows you to access your maternity records over the internet through your PC, tablet device or mobile phone.

The information that you view is generated in real-time from your hospital-based maternity system, using details entered by your midwife or other health professionals involved in your care.

This new service allows you to have more convenient and timely access to key information, and also ensure that your choices on what you want to happen at each stage are clearly captured for all those caring for you to see.

What do I need to do?

If you are currently pregnant and have been booked to have your fist midwife appointment on or after the 9 August 2021 please download the BadgerNet app before you arrive. Details on how to do this can be found below. Prior to your first appointment you will receive a telephone call on the number you provided when you self-referred. This will be from one of the booking coordinators who will help you register for the app.

If you have already had you first midwife appointment then you will not be required to download the app as you will remain on the system that you booked on and will have your hand held records.
