International Nurses

It is our honour at SaTH to welcome international nurses to work with us at the Trust. Currently, we have over 200 international Nurses that come from a wide range of countries, all with one goal – to provide patients with the care, dignity and respect that they deserve.

We offer support to those who move from overseas in the form of a 12 week Clinical Skills OSCE Programme, which includes a pastoral support programme and sessions such as ;

  • Settling in to the UK
  • Ward readiness
  • Town tours and local areas
  • Professional development
  • Communicating with others
  • Hospital policies and procedures
  • Staying safe (in conjunction with West Mercia Police)

We arrange support sessions from numerous support networks, such as Freedom to Speak Up, EDI, British Indian Nursing Association, Unison, RCN and Friends of African nursing.

We also cover the costs of their certificate of sponsorship, VISA, OSCE Exams, three months accommodation and three months travel.

To apply you need to have passed your IELTS / CBT / OET exams, and hold an appropriate qualification in nursing in your home country. To apply for a place on the SaTH OSCE programme, please check our vacancy page for our available openings.
