-
Both hospitals have designated car parking facilities for patients and visitors.
-
The car parks are Pay and Display and all patients and visitors using the car parks must purchase and clearly display a valid ticket.
-
Tickets are purchased from the blue machines located throughout the car parks.
-
The car parks are managed by CP-Plus who also manage many other NHS hospital sites across the country.
-
Our hospitals can be very busy so, please allow plenty of time before your appointment to park.
-
Please talk to the CP-Plus car parking Attendants if you are having difficulty finding a space.
Liability
The Trust accepts no responsibility for vehicles parked on its sites. Vehicles are parked at the owner's risk.
Charges
Standard Charge
The standard charge is £2.00 for 24 hours, which runs from midnight to midnight. You may make multiple visits to the hospital during this charge period, using the same ticket.
Discount Tickets - for frequent visitors to the Hospitals
We have 2 concessionary parking permits for parking in the Pay and Display Car Parks at our hospitals:
- If you will be frequently visiting the hospital during a short period of time, either as a patient or a visitor, then you can purchase a 7-day concessionary ticket at the reduced price of £8. This entitles you to park at the hospital at any time for 7 days from the time of purchase. These tickets are available from the car park Attendants stationed in the yellow kiosks near to the car park entrances.
- If you are on a long-term treatment plan then you may be eligible for a 10 visit concessionary pass at the reduced price of £10. This entitles you to 10 separate visits to either of our hospitals, and there is no time limit for using it. Application forms for this concessionary permit are available from wards and departments. They need to be signed by an authorised person on behalf of the clinician providing your care.
Note that in certain circumstances we can also provide this concessionary pass for relatives/visitors of patients on long-term treatment plans. Please talk to your ward or department to find out if this may be an option for you.
Other Concessions and the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme
Some people are eligible for full or partial refund of their hospital travel / parking costs. Please visit our Help With Travel Costs page for more information.
